DANIEL POLESCHOOK, JR.
“Wonderful Waterbirds”
Our Friday night featured speaker will be Daniel Poleschook, Jr. He will be presenting a program on "Wonderful Waterbirds" His web site is http://www.loonlakewildlifegallery.com/. Daniel is the Past-Chair and Trustee of the North American Loon Fund and Board member of Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute, Northland College, Ashland, WI Loon Research Award. He operates Daniel Poleschook Nature Photography (DPNP) which features nature-photography workshops throughout western North America, Florida, Canada and Africa Inventor of specialized DPNP Teleflash (+5 f-stops of flash gain for telephoto lenses), and lens-mount systems. Former columnist for Nature Photographer magazine, “Techniques for Nature Photographers” Active in Nature Photography since 1971. Competed in the Nature Division of the Photographic Society of America Charter member of the prestigious Mile High Wildlife photography club in Denver Nature photography competition judge for Photographic Society of America Nature Division Exhibitions and numerous camera clubs, Presented nature photography workshops and seminars in: New York City, New England Council of Camera Clubs, Seattle, Sequim, Denver, Omaha, Olympia, Spokane, Costa Rica, South Africa, Namibia, Churchill, and in nearly all major National Parks in the American West Medical Photographer for U. S. Army MS Degree in Geology from Colorado School of Mines specializing in remote sensing. He has also made a career as a Geologist.

Nicole Perretta (The Bird Call Lady) will be our Sat. night featured speaker. Visit her on the web @ www.bird-calling.com. Nicole has been a guest on Jay Leno and the Ellen Degeneres show and is well know for the unique way she uses her voice to call birds. Today, Nicole can imitate 158 total bird calls, representing 133 Species. Nicole is unique among bird call imitators as she uses her voice to imitate most of the birds instead of whistling or using sound devices. Nicole's current ‘Bird Call Lady’ website features her bird call and performance list. The ‘Bird Calling Video’ page shows footage of wild birds being called in by Nicole. The third page, ‘ Sound Clips’ is Nicole’s voice over page that has demos of various bird calls. Other festivals and organizations Nicole has performed for:
